HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES ON THIS WEBSITE

To make our use of cookies compliant with GDPR, we must first obtain consent from users.

Consent must be...

  • Given by the user before setting cookies. When you visit this Site for the first time, you will be shown a Banner (at the bottom of the screen) that allows you to select the categories of cookies you wish to activate on this Site. By continuing to browse (eg: if you scroll down the page or click on a link) you consent to the use of cookies.
  • Based on an informed choice. The banner describes the use of cookies on this Site. We describe what cookies are, what categories of cookies are present on the Site, and list the cookies in the various categories.
  • Revokable. At any time you can click on the "Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of all pages of the site and change your settings, or click on the link to modify and revoke the consent in this statement at point F "Cookie List".
  • Based on a true choice. You can use this Site even without the installation of cookies. However, some elements that use cookies, such as the Live Chat, will be blocked or may not work properly.
  • Stored as documentation. The consent data is recorded securely each time you select your preferences in the cookie banner.
  • Renewed once a year. The consent given is recorded for 12 months; at the end of this period you will be shown the cookie banner again.

Notes:

With reference to cookies installed by third parties, the User can also manage his own settings and revoke the consent by visiting the related opt out link (if available), using the tools described in the privacy policy of the third party or by contacting the third party directly.

Why are the "Live Chat" and "Statistics" options pre-selected in the banner? We have chosen to tick the "preferences" and "statistics" check boxes in our banner (but not the "marketing" category). The user can easily modify this settings before clicking "ok". We are not using cookies or trackers that contain personal data in these two categories. Therefore, they do not fall under the GDPR regulations. This is also compliant with the e-privacy directive which does not establish restrictions on whether the boxes should be pre-selected.
